Anna will always first try to use plant-based ingredients for new formulations but an organic logo isn't our aim. Our success story is happy users.
The ingredients in the Anna is Clear formulation are from natural origin and our unique rye ferment ingredient is certified organic by the French ECOCERT, the Brussel based NATRUE and the COSMOS organization which is founded by the BDIH (from Germany), Cosmebio (from France), ECOCERT (from France), ICEA (from Italy) and the Soil Association (from Great Britain) labels.
An impressive list but for Anna the natural origin and these certifications shouldn’t be the main buying reason for consumers.
Anna wants consumers to use Anna is Clear because they notice it helps improve their skin better than any product they used before. Because they notice positive results within a short time. Because they can take control over their skin 24/7 or whenever they want to and most important because they feel that a happy skin supports them to reach for a happier life.
We also don’t want to generalize that synthetic ingredients are bad for the skin microbiome and plant-derived ingredients are good for the skin microbiome. While many synthetic raw materials may disrupt the skin microbiome, the same can be true for many plant(-derived) ingredients, and vice versa.
Scientists are just beginning to understand the important role of the skin microbiome in overall health. They're increasing research to understand which impact preservatives and other ingredients in cosmetic products have on the microbiome. Nowadays synthetic raw materials often get a bad rap without the supporting evidence that they cause harm to health and/or the environment.
But there’s clear evidence that traditional active ingredients on today’s market to improve blemished skin have (serious) side effects. When an acid ingredient dissolves the ‘glue’ between cells to prevent clogged pores you can imagine not only the ‘glue’ dissolves but also important bacteria will be dissolved or killed. When you use a product and the supporting text says that you shouldn't use it in the sun for sure something 'happens' at/in your skin. This could lead to an imbalance in the important microbiome and we do know that a weak microbiome or an imbalanced microbiome can lead to blemished skin.
As a product developer Anna understand the many advances in green chemistry that have been able to produce synthetic analogues to plant-derived products that are more environmentally sustainable in addition to being safe. She won't close her eyes for that.
Anna will always first try to use plant-based ingredients but will move to other ingredients when it happens to be that these are more stabilized for cosmetic use, are more environmentally friendly and sustainable and most important: are more safe for people to use!
Only 6 unique and carefully selected natural-based ingredients are the base for Anna's formulation. The gram-positive bacteria with which the rye is fermented is built up in 40 (!) years. This secret cocktail is strictly controlled and is safely stored in a Swiss safe. The special developed transdermal transport system strengthen the effectiveness of the microbiome and at the same time strongly inhibit the growth of the C. acnes, the causative bacterium for blemished skin.
Containing unique water-soluble β-1,3-glucan esters the formulation has strong moisturizing and anti-ageing properties you and your skin will love.
Happy skin, happy life
